Consider the benefits of a WarmRoof

Warmth & Comfort

A WarmerRoof is the most thermally efficient roof system on the market to date. We use industry leading honeycomb insulation which ensures the thermal performance in both the Summer and Winter months.

Speed of Installation

The WarmerRoof has been designed around speed of installation and efficiency. With our unique modular design, a WarmerRoof can be weather-tight in just one day, and the average time to completion as little as two to three days.

24/7, 365 Days a Year Living

With summer temperatures set to rise and adverse weather conditions worsening due to climate change, your conservatory or extension can now be used all year round using a WarmerRoof conversion. WarmerRoofs highly insulated SIP (structurally insulated panel) construction allows your room to be cooler in the summer yet warmer in the winter and condensation free.

Inside and Outside Living

With its insulated painted ceilings customisable options such as roof windows, an internal pelmet or an external soffit. You can create the room of your dreams in no time at all.

Value for Money

Adding a Warmer Roof to your conservatory or extension will begin to you money from the moment it is installed, due to its thermal efficiency. The heat loss is minimal and therefore it will cost less on your heating bills. Combine this with low powered LED lighting, you will save even more money.

What is a Warmer Roof

A Highly Insulated, Lightweight, Timber Solution

The Warmer Roof is designed to be used for new sunroom installations, or as a roof replacement to an existing conservatory and features a U-value of 0.14Wm2.

Regulation Compliant

All structural and building regulations are met thanks to careful design and engineering. The roof has been extensively tested and certificates issued to ensure it complies and exceeds current Building Regulation requirements for both structural and thermal performance.

Made from Pre-Built Pods for Maximum Efficiency On-Site

A roof pod is a boarded one piece timber framework section, either shaped or rectangular, which forms a structural link between both the eaves and ridge.

These pods are factory pre-assembled using roofing grade timber and have been specifically designed to replace existing glass or polycarbonate roofed conservatories. All pos joints are glued and screwed together before being boarded with 15mm OBS roofing sheets.

The one piece roof pods are then glued and screwed onto a continous Glulam ring beam attached to the head of the window frames, which are finished with a 150mm fascia board and an ‘ogee’ decorative gutter system. This specifically produced and engineered beam provides incredible structural strength, long term durability and performance.

What else is in a Roof Pod?

A 125mm thick multilayer of foil backed insulation is fitting into the pods, which are bolted together to secure the installation. An additional 42mm insulated plasterboard is then screwed across the underside of the roof.

On the outside the pods are covered with a waterproof air permeable breather membrane which lies below the tiles.

All Warmer Roofs are factory built and pre assembled to ensure accuracy and fast installation. This not only reduces the time and the odd conservatory has to be left open and exposed to the elements but also minimise disruption and any mess created by on site assembly.

Why do I Need a Warmer Roof?

  • Is your conservatory unusable for parts of the year?
  • Too hot to use in the summer yet too expensive to keep cool in the winter?
  • Too bright to allow you to relax, read a book or watch TV – are your furnishings fading in the sun?
  • Too loud to hear yourself think or talk when it rains?
  • No privacy when the lights are on in the evening?

The Warm Roof is ‘The Roof For All Seasons’

Your Warmer Roof can be Personalised Inside and Out

Internally, the plastered finish remains the most popular as it makes the room bright and airy, although timber and pvc cladding can be considered. For added light and ventilation doubts velux type roof windows are also available.

Conservatory Roof Solutions are able to offer LED Downlights in your new Warmer Roof, in a variety of trim colours, switching options and number of lights themselves.

Externally you can choose from a range of lightweight tiles and slates from the likes of Metrotile and Tapco. Both of these products have BBA accreditations, offer proven waterproof performance and come with extensive guarantees against corrosion, warping, fading and cracking for up to 40 years.

JHAI Ltd is an Approved Inspector, licensed every five years by the government - via the Construction Industry Council (CIC) - to carry out Building Regulations approvals (Building Control) as an alternative to Local Authorities. They have processed over 65,000 Building Control applications in the last five years. When the company was formed in 1999, jhai stood for Jon Hollely Associates Innovation - but since 2009 it has been under new ownership and is now referred to by its initials, J.H.A.I.

The vigorous system approval process undertaken by jhai allows them to sample inspect installations and use remote inspection techniques, such as photographs for other installations. To support a randomised sample inspection process jhai undertake rigorous assessment of installers and the installation process as part of their system approval certification.

Key Facts about JHAI:

  • Following a vigorous assessment of the roof system by an approved jhai inspector, the homeowner is safe in the knowledge that the structure is sound and that there are no building control issues if the home was ever to be sold.
  • Conservatory roof conversions without a building regulations certificate can cause additional cost and major delays when selling a property.
  • A building control certificate can provide peace of mind that the installation conforms to all current regulations. We hope that this provides you, the home owner, with the confidence that you are buying through a reputable company.
  • Building regulations certificates are only ever issued by companies that offer a complete roof replacement.
