The Steps...

Existing conservatory with a polycarbonate roof.

Too Hot in the Summer and Too Cold in the Winter.

Our customer also had some leaks occurring.

1. We carefully protect the floor.

2. We remove the old roof entirely.

3. New structural timber framework is installed.

4. 100mm of Xtratherm rigid pir insulation is installed.

5. Additional multifoil insulation installed to provide a combined outstanding u-value of 0.15.

6. Treated battens and first fix electrics are installed.

7. Foil backed plasterboard is expertly cut and installed.

8. Externally we use the traditional roofing method with breather membrane and roofing grade batten installed.

9. Roof window and flashing kit installed.

10. New fascia with ventilation system installed.

11. New gutters are installed.

12. The Tapco slates and ridges to match are installed by our Award winning team.

13. New leadwork and downpipes are installed.

14. The outside is complete and the inside window frames and walls are sheeted up ready for our plasterer.

15. Internally we finish to a pre-decoration standard, ready for our customer to decorate as they wish.

16. The electrics are second fixed.

Every Installation Of A Conservatory Roof Insulation Timber Framed Warm Roof Comes With A Building Control Certificate Issued By JHAI The UK's Leading Independent Building Inspectors

Did you know that you can now replace a conservatory roof with a solid tiled conservatory roof, in most cases, without having to apply for planning permission?

You are however advised to apply for certification from an approved inspector to ensure your solid roof conforms with all current building regulations. Conservatory Roof Solutions do this on your behalf as a matter of course for all of our customers.

It is important that your current conservatory conforms to current building regulations, ortherwise you may have to apply for retrospective planning permission when converting to a tiled roof.

The conservatory is separated from the house by external quality walls, doors or windows.

There should be an independent heating system with separate temperature and on/off controls.

Glazing and any fixed electrical installations comply with the applicable building regulations requirements.
